Anchor

There are several Anchor markings, the origin of which and the production dates are unknown. But there is some similarity to known British made floats that may be taken into consideration and suppose that the Anchor marked glass floats are of the British origin. The similarity is somitimes in the glass thickness, color of glass, the molded (seamed) glass form and the location of the Anchor marking. It is sometimes located on top of the glass. The Anchor marked floats are of different colors but all of those we have met are of the same 5" size in diameter.

Anchor marked glass float. Green-olive color. Two piece molded glass. The marking is located on top of the glass opposite to the sealing button. 5" in diameter. Resides in a private collection in the US.



Anchor marked, moderate green glass float. The marking is located on side of the glass. There is number 3 located on the bottom of the glass. Two piece molded. This float has a neck. From our own collection.
